U-KISS announces official comeback with “Bran New KISS”

On March 22nd, U-KISS announced their official comeback through their fancafe for their upcoming fifth mini-album, “Bran New KISS“!

Just like how the title indicates, the album aims to mark a new start for the group as they make their first step with their two new members.

Kim Tae Hyun, the composer behind the group’s previous hit track, “Shut Up!!“, has returned for the group’s next title track, a sad hip hop song by the name of “0330“. Meanwhile, labelmate senior Paran’s P.O. collaborated with composer SWIN to produce a total of three tracks for the group.

The album features a 48-page booklet and is comprised of six tracks, which are as follows:

04. Every Day

The full album will hit online music sites on March 30th. The boys will be making their official comeback through Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on March 31st.

U-KISS’ DONGHO TO MAKE DRAMA DEBUT THROUGH “ROYAL FAMILY”

U-KISS’s Dongho has been expanding his acting career lately through two movie appearances, and he’s just added one more item to his resume. The idol was recently cast into MBC’s “Royal Family“, through which he’ll make his debut in the drama industry.

According to the drama’s production company, Dongho will be playing the role of ‘Jo Byung Jun’, the son of the two leading roles. He’s described to be a smart but cold character who becomes accepted at Harvard University. Despite his achievements, he’s a hard-headed teen who will do anything to ensure himself a brighter future, even going so far as to ask his own mother to give up her parental rights.

Eli, Dongho and Kiseop to act in new sitcom “Real School”

Idols Dongho, Eli, and Kiseop of U-Kiss have been cast for MBC every1′s special new sitcom, titled ‘Real School‘, for this coming 2011.

The trio will act in a 40-episode long sitcom series, for which they will transform into three high school students who board at an ‘English Village’ in an attempt to crack their fear of speaking English.

The sitcom is set to have a young cast to match well with viewers in their teens. The full cast includes U-Kiss’s Dongho, Kiseop, and Eli, as well as Park Seul Gi, Do Ji Han, and Joo Da Young.

Maknae Dongho, who has had some experience in acting through his main role in the movie ‘The Villian of the Second Floor’, said he still feels nervous as it will be his first time acting in a TV series. “I’m looking forward to working in a different atmosphere to a movie set. I will do my best.”

Member Eli also has some past experience in acting, as he was once cast to act for a Thai drama series (“Autumn Destiny” or “Under The Same Sky”). He expressed that since he has past experience in acting in dramas, he feels burdened as a model for the other two members, however, he is nonetheless confident and is willing to try his best.

Kiseop also revealed that he will put in all his efforts for his first challenge with acting.

The ‘Real School’ sitcom will air its pilot episode on January 3, 2011, and will be shown every day from Monday to Friday for a total of eight weeks.

U-KISS, whose 4th mini album [Break Time] was released in October, has a record of no.1 in Korea album sales ranking and their title track [Shut Up!!] is also of great popularity. They, who are in top form, are appearing in [MADE IN BS JAPAN] every Wednesday. We heard from the 7 people who are casted as regular for the first time in Japan.

Alexander: As regular for the first time in Japan, moreover, because it is live broadcasting, I was really nervous at first. Although I also appear in Korea’s variety program, most are recorded broadcasts.

Dongho: I was worried too. Every week, I go Japan for live broadcast, I wonder what will happen. What if it’s not interesting? What if it fails? I felt very uneasy. But, it’s really fun after I tried (laugh). I have come to think it will be good if I could enjoy work in Japan more in the future.

Kibum: I want to co-star with Japan’s girl groups. I want to be friend with AKB48 (laugh).

Kiseop: I want to do a game together with the fans and play together. Travelling with fans is also good.

Dongho: I want to eat delicious things! There should be a lot of delicious things in Japan, and I want to visit through the program.

As for them who are going back and forth between Korea and Japan, their schedules in Japan are also fully packed. Individual concerts are held on 6th Dec in Osaka and 10th Dec in Tokyo. Japan’s first album [First Kiss] is to be released on the same day as their Tokyo’s performance.

Kevin: If our Japan album enters the top ranking of Oricon chart, we will be very happy. And we want to show our charms fully in the concerts.

Eli: That’s right. I want to faster reveal the performance of [Shut Up!!] on the stage. I hope everyone see the power of us which our manliness has increased.

Have visited Japan many times, but your favorite place is?

Kiseop(Photo above.Right): Anywhere in Japan is fun to go. The food is also delicious. And, Don Quixote is interesting. Because it is a type of shop which Korea doesn’t have.

Kibum(Photo above.Left): Because there was free time this time round, I strolled around the streets of Yokoyama. There were many pretty noonas.

What kind of woman is your ideal type?

Kiseop: For me, a cute person will be good.

Kibum: For me, will be gentle and stylist woman. Rather than casual, I prefer people of tight style.

U-KISS’s members seem always to get along well, what kind of people are the members?

Kiseop: Of deep feelings, who care for the members at their side without any selfishness…are warm friends always and are reliable older brothers for me!

Kibum: Because our characters are all so different, when the members are gathered together, it is pretty interesting. When someone does something interesting, other members will promptly look into it(laugh).

If likening the members to animals, what will it be?

Kiseop: As for Alexander hyung…because he is of fine character, umm, ahhh, difficult.

Kibum: As for Kiseop, I say monkey (laugh).

Kibum: Dongho will be dog. Because he is our pet. And Kevin will be a cuter puppy. Soohyun will be elephant! (laugh)

Who do you think suit the “bad guy”?

Eli(Photo right): Me…fufufu. And the good guy is Kevin. Today’s clothes also convey that too I think?

Each member is unique. If to use a word to describe their character.

Kevin: Alexander is like the team’s mother. Because he is the oldest, he is a good big brother who takes care of the members frequently. Eli, as you can see, his appearance and his personality also are manly and he is of charismatic presence in the team.

Eli: Kibum hyung is a quick witted raconteur. He is the brain of U-KISS. Soohyun hyung is really great at singing. He also gives guidance to other members during practices. Kevin is a person who has the innocence like a boy. Kevin alone is in-charge of our pure part. In fact Dongho is the youngest but he is also more boyish than Dongho (laugh).

Kevin: Because Dongho has the experience of studying abroad in China alone, he is doing surprisingly well. But his charms are of perfect score and he is of cuteness presence. And as for Kiseop…though he has a cool image, he is our mood maker.

Eli: Though Kiseop speaks little, he is an incredible funny guy when unexpected (laugh).

Is there any place you want to go after you visited Japan?

Eli: Roppongi’s udon shop! Though it is served in big bowl, it was remarkably delicious.

Kevin: For today’s dinner, we are going there together since I have promised Eli. I’m looking forward to it very much (laugh).

[MADE IN BS JAPAN] started in Oct 2010. Every Wednesday, U-KISS who serves as special MC, main caster, announcer Maeda Mariko and commenter Furuya Masayuki will bring us a good time together. Let’s look back at October where there were songs and dances which one could not take one’s eyes off.

10/6 Kibum & Kiseop

Kibum and Kiseop, who appeared in commemorable 1st round of broadcast.
Backward activities of U-KISS since debut and PV scenes were shown. Even announcer Maeda was surprised by Kibum’s foreign Japanese. Kiseop also openly displayed all his playfulness.

10/13 Live Broadcast as 7 people together!

Appeared as 7 people together. Kevin’s dance, Eli’s Taekwondo and Dongho’s knitting(!!) and such, the disclosure of each special talent. The figures of open performance of [Man Man Ha Ni (Don’t Underestimate Me)] and other hit songs, the fans outside the studio are also of enthusiasm.

10/20 Alexander & Soohyun

Fans in rows and when they appeared from the outside of the studio, the 2 people made the fans greatly excited. In response to Alexander’s request, the challenge of soy sauce and miso flavor ice-cream and unexpectedly good response [declicious] to natto ice-cream. And in previous round, Soohyun who failed in singing, sang EXILE’s song beautifully this time round and won applause with his beautiful voice. He himself also showed a great satisfying smile. Alexander also cutely performed [Spring has come] which he learnt in university.

Kibum clears up rumors about Baek Boram

U-Kiss member Kibum clarified his position about the rumor about him and comedian Baek Boram.
Baek Boram had said on E Channel’s “Poker Face”, “Male idol ‘K’, who I had met on the set, is interested in me. ‘K’ was born in 1990, and is a whole 10 years younger than me”. Naturally, such a statement made viewers very interested about the identity of ‘K’.
Driven by their curiosity, netizens compiled a list of all the male idols born in 1990. U-Kiss’ Kibum was in that list, and when it began to look as if he was the one, Kibum wrote an explanation on his Cyworld diary on November 27th. He wrote, “There have been articles coming out since a few days ago which I didn’t think were important, but why is the fire suddenly coming to me?”

[NEWS] 101118 U-Kiss' Confession "Disappointed When Being Called 'Dongho & The Boys'"

7-members idol group U-Kiss talked about them feeling kind of betrayed when they were being called ‘Dongho & Boys’.

U-Kiss recently appeared in Mnet ‘Beatles Code’ recording, and they shared some undisclosed stories to the public.

U-Kiss’ Alexander in particular, where he said “Dongho is doing well. However, it was frustrating whenever we heard people addressing us as ‘Dongho & Boys’”.

Among U-Kiss’ 7 members, the youngest Dongho is very well known due to him appearing frequently in many entertainment variety programs. In some cases, people were joking around and addressed U-Kiss as ‘Dongho & Boys’.

Injured U-KISS members show fighting spirit on stage

Although U-KISS made their comeback with “Shut Up!” the group seems to be going through some tough times as their members are suffering injuries, one by one.

Eli was the first member to sustain an injury, after he tripped during rehearsal on the morning of the 18th. Fracturing his right arm, he sought treatment in the ER. After undergoing a more in-depth medical exam, however, it was revealed that he required surgery.

Fortunately, the hospital stated that “it would not be difficult for him to perform.” Eli is currently performing with a cast and has revealed, “It will take 2-3 weeks to take off the cast. There’s a bit of pain, but it’s fine.”

Maknae Dongho was injured while participating in a marathon and complained of feeling a crick in his leg. Dongho explained:

“There was an event where idol group members would run a marathon with athlete Lee Bong Ju. We separated the idols into separate sections while Lee Bong Ju ran the entire 21km on his own. I tried my best, but it was still difficult. My leg began hurting after the marathon and so I went to the hospital and found that my muscles were shocked at the sudden strain. Therefore, the other members are continuing with their normal activities…Luckily the doctor said that the injury was not as severe as they were expecting. Introduction of the Music

Releasing their 3rd mini album which had the hit track ‘Man Man Ha Ni’ that accompanied with nation craze dance (Strong guy dance) last year, the international idol group U-Kiss is coming back with even better music! They said that they have been working hard during their little break. This upcoming mini album will also contain 56 pictures that have never been seen before, revealing the diverse images of the members, from their fresh looks to charismatic looks.

The boys show their mature side while, still giving the album their own splash of colour, through Kevin’s sweet vocals in ‘Before Yesterday (Intro)’ to the title track ‘시끄러 !! (Shut Up!!)’, and ‘Light It Up, ‘Rock Ya’ Body’ and ‘Avatar’. The album will have 7 songs in total. In addition, U-Kiss will disclose special cuts of unrevealed photos in the form of cards, which will be ‘hidden’ in the albums randomly (8 cards in total, one of which will be placed in each album). Up until now, their new look, music style and performances have yet to be revealed.

U-KISS’ Dongho, ZE:A’s Dongjun and Infinite’s Sungjong had gathered and formed a group called ‘MILK CARAMEL’. In the 23rd broadcast of Chuseok Special ‘2010 Star Dance Battle’, the contestants were divided into two groups for the battle: ‘꼬꼬마 Kko Kko Ma (Little Boy – Captain Haha)’ VS ‘뚱뚱이 Ttung Ttungie (Fatty – Captain Kim Shin Young)’.

In the 4th round, ‘Kko Kko Ma’ team sent out their male idol groups’ members Dongho (U-KISS), Dongjun (ZE:A) and Sungjong (Infinite) who had formed a group called ‘MILK CARAMEL’ to battle with IU. The three of them received hot responses from the others as they transformed Orange Caramel’s ‘Magic Girl’ into ‘Magic Boy’, showing their fine appearance as girls, as well as their cute facial expressions.

U-KISS’ Dongho was spotted begging for garbage.

Based on viewers’ evaluation, a special teamwork training on a deserted island was held and being broadcasted on the August 7th broadcast of KBS 2TV ‘Invincible Baseball Team (IBT)’.

The IBT members went to a deserted island to strengthen up their teamwork. This time, the members had to pick up garbage for the purpose of obtaining cooking utensils.

Multinational idol group, U-KISS, daringly revealed their daily lives.

On August 10th broadcast of MBC ‘Good Day’, U-KISS revealed their 2 days 1 night’s Navy experiences, as well as their 3 days 2 nights in Japan.

Ahead of their comeback as well as their plan to enter the Japanese market, U-KISS went for a 3 days 2 nights trip to Tokyo, Japan. They met their fans there and performed for Japanese TV station.

It was really hard to see U-KISS upon their arrival in Japan, and the opportunity didn’t come easily either in the next morning.

Never ever thought of seeing the ‘God of Sleeping’ Dongho waking up. He said “Eat now or never”, and Kibum made a cute intimidating talk that “I’ll be taller if I get lots of sleep at my age”. Kibum and Dongho’s skin is smooth as ever, even without makeup.

아이돌그룹 유키스의 동호가 예능프로그램에서 은지원에 대한 솔직한 생각을 털어놔 웃음을 자아냈다.

13일 KBS 2TV에 따르면 동호는 오는 14일 방송하는 ‘스타골든벨 1학년 1반’에서 존경하는 선배로 은지원을 꼽았다.

이날 MC 지석진은 “유키스는 요즘 예능프로그램을 많이 하고 있는데, 예능선배 중 존경하는 사람은?”이라 질문했고, 동호는 “몇 년 전까지 은지원 선배님을 존경했다”고 말했다.

동호는 “1박2일에서도 너무 잘하고 재미있다”며 “또 제가 힙합을 좋아하는데 은지원 선배님이 힙합을 했다”라며 은지원을 존경했던 이유를 밝혔다.

동호는 이어 “그런데 요즘 은지원 선배는 힙합도 안하고, 1박2일에서 비중도 많이 없어졌다”고 꼬집어 전 출연진을 폭소케했다.

또다른 유키스 멤버 케빈은 “나는 지석진 선배님을 존경한다”며 “가늘고 길게 가는 것이 부럽다”고 답해 웃음을 자아냈다.

이후 은지원은 씁쓸한 표정을 지었고, 지석진은 은지원을 위로해 녹화장은 다시 한번 웃음바다가 됐다.

유키스가 재치있는 입담을 과시한 이날 방송은 오는 14일 5시15분 KBS 2TV에서 확인할 수 있다.

But now he didn’t do Hip-Hop, and his role in ‘2 Days 1 Night’ wasn’t that great either” which made the audience burst into laughter upon hearing his answer.

On the other hand, Kevin stated that he respected Ji Seok Jin among the seniors in variety show world. He reasoned out his answer smartly, “I’m envy of Ji Seok Jin sunbaenim who has a long career.”

Meanwhile, singer Park Mi Kyung, Lee Ji Hye, Homme (Lee Hyun & Chang Min), Miss A (Fei, Suzy) are among the celebrities in this episode.

In the eyes of fans, U-Kiss is a boyband with active and cheerful personalities. In reality, all 7 U-Kiss members are absolutely love creating lots of noise when they are together! They are very close to each other, and this has made lots of people jealous of them! Let us test their understanding about each other since the 7 of them have known each other for a very long time. ^_^

epop: Can you tel us a bit about your childhood’s memory?
Alexander: Everyday, I went to school with my friends. After school ended, I went out to play and then returned home with them.
Kevin: I feel very happy when I went to the theme park while holding my parent’s hand.
Eli: When I was a kid, I learned Taekwondo with friends and always sweating.
Kibum: I always went ice-fishing with my parent during winter.
Dongho: I always did sports and played with my friends during school break.
Kiseop: I always held my parent’s hand while playing at the theme park. Other than that, I always took a train ride at the amusement park. All these left a deep impression on me.

epop: If you got the chance, how would you repay back to your family?

Just let this day be special in my life. & it did. We spent a lot together. All of us gathered & 'sungkai' together. Now, I think it is time for bed, need to wake up at 3am for 'sahur' (: my o'nephews are here for the night. We will be having our 'sahur' together. Can't wait, it has been awhile that I dont feel this way. I'm too excited & looking forward for it. My sister want me to repair her laptop, now, I'm working on it. I hope I can download google chrome by now. I can't access to its download site which makes me wonder what is that thing has blocked me to access to the site. :(

Installing windows live messenger is taking a lot of times, what makes it more worst is, it failed at the end. I can't install them. aargh. What should I do next? If later, I still can't make any progress, I'll ask my sister to send her laptop to a CLINIC. I think there could be a virus in it. Stupid virus! Why do you exist? Whoever make this virus, your life won't get any better, I'll promise you that. Oh my, I've been sitting infront of this laptop for 4 hours now. Please make it work already. I'm tired looking up for another site that is better that previous ones.

I'm watching BIGBANG electric love tour. G-Dragon looks hot here! OH MY! *blushing* after this, I'm going to watch super junior. YAAY! So, I think that's all for today :)

waaa. It has been a year that I know one of friend who looks like 'awal'. It was hilarious, how we screamed when we saw awal's face on TV and we keep turn our head to my friend. Oh, it is so good to think about our good moments. Today, at school, everything went well. Nothing that is gonna hurt my feeling tho (: I really hope that everyday will be like this. & KYAAAAA! I've been talking to someone special. I wish that I could know you better. Please let me talk to you again! hehehe:P

OMG! look at how big the snake was. Obviously, I was so scared & I even fake my smile. So not cool. All my friends looked so happy with the snake except me. Why did I even get inside that reptile house? I dont like reptiles, it gave goosebumps! I still remember how it feels to touch its skin. I was speechless. :( dont ever make me touch them again.
